Help with the costs to raise children

Raising a family can be both rewarding and challenging, especially when it comes to managing the associated costs. We are here to help you navigate the financial support available to ease the burden and ensure your children get the best start in life.

You may be eligible for various forms of assistance, including:

  • childcare costs – support is available to help cover the costs of childcare, including free early learning and education for children aged two to four years. Through this help, your child can receive quality care and education without placing undue financial stress on your household
  • Free School Meals and Clothing Grant – if your family meets certain income criteria, your children may be eligible for free school meals and assistance with the cost of school uniforms. This grant can help to ensure that every child has access to nutritious meals and the necessary clothing to participate fully in school life
  • support for children with SEND – if you have a child with special educational needs or disabilities, there are dedicated resources and financial aid available to support their development and well-being. This may include tailored educational support, therapy services, and assistance with the additional costs that can arise
