The health and wellbeing of our tenants is our top priority. We are committed to supporting the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our tenants by offering resources, guidance, and connections to local services. Whether you are seeking medical care, mental health support, or assistant with lifestyle changes, we are here for you every step of the way.  

General health

We collaborate closely with NHS health professionals and Haringey Council’s public health team to improve the overall wellbeing of our tenants. In this section, you will find essential information on registering with a GP or dentist, along with details for local hospital in the borough you live in. 

Register with a GP or dentist 

Anyone in England can register with a GP surgery to access NHS services. It's free to register. You do not need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number. 

GP surgeries are usually the first contact if you have a health problem. They can treat many conditions and give health advice. They can also refer you to other NHS services.

Bereavement 

Coping with the loss of a loved one is never easy. You can bereavement support organisations that offer advice and support for you to go through this difficult time. Find more information by visiting your borough’s website. 

Mental health  

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Each council provides support for various mental health needs, including perinatal mental health and emotional wellbeing. Find more details by visiting your borough’s website. 

Sexual health 

Access to sexual health services is vital for maintaining your health and wellbeing. Whether you need STI testing, treatment, pregnancy screenings, LGBT+ sexual health or advice on sexual health, local clinics are here to help.  

Domestic violence 

If you are experiencing violence or abuse from a partner, ex-partner, or family member, it is important to seek help immediately. These are organisations that offer confidential support and advice to ensure your safety.

Drug and alcohol misuse support 

If you, a friend or family member are having problems with alcohol or drugs you can talk to someone at each council’s website. There are local services that can help you manage and overcome these challenges. Find support services to help overcome problematic drug use, access Naloxone, and needle exchange. 

Family and children support 

Supporting families and children is a key priority. There are local services that provide access to childcare, early years programmes, family hubs, and support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
